June is a month filled with new life on the farm! We will be spending a lot of time planting and enjoying new baby animals (hopefully, kittens, lambs, chicks and bunnies!) We will also be hatching our own chicks in an incubator this month. Our newly sheared wool will make for great crafting adventures, including wool dying, needle felting, weaving, and spinning yarn. In July, we have some large projects to work on, including treehouse building, garden management, and some observations of our beehives (and honey tasting!) We will do some foraging and plant identification in our woods with everything that comes up during peak summer season. August brings our first apples on the farm- the Zestars! We will enjoy picking, crafting with, bobbing for, and pressing this delicious treat. During the intense August afternoons when we need a break from the heat, we will engage in Cardboard Camp, where creativity with building can go wild!
